What L-PRF Is
Platelets are the cells your body sends first to any wound. They carry growth factors that signal tissue to rebuild. Fibrin is the protein mesh that holds a clot together and gives new tissue a scaffold to grow into.
L-PRF concentrates both. A small volume of your blood is spun in a centrifuge, separating a fibrin clot dense with platelets and white blood cells. That clot is then placed directly into the extraction socket or surgical site, or pressed into a membrane and laid over it.

There is no separate recovery associated with the L-PRF portion, and no extra appointment. The whole thing happens within the visit you were already scheduled for.
Who Is a Good Candidate
Most healthy adults having oral surgery can have L-PRF. Certain blood disorders, some medications, and specific medical conditions make it unsuitable, so we review your medical history carefully first and coordinate with your physician when there is any question.
We do not promise outcomes. What we can say is that our doctors choose to use L-PRF because they believe supporting your own biology is a sound approach to surgical healing.
